GASTRO CAFE @SS15

Having lunch alone!

Actually it is considered a late lunch? 2.30pm?

Most of my friends haVe taken their lunch, so poor me alone!

Actually someone did offer to accompany me, but I kinda don't want to trouble others

So, rejected!

independent me!! =P

Alright, this is who I am!

I m quite independent, maybe to many people i m VERY INDEPENDENT !!

I can settle many things on myself, I seldom asked help!

If I ask for a favor, which means that thing I cannot settle alone! So, help me!

But, this is just who I am!

Anyway, I walked quite far to this place! GASTRO CAFE!

it is right opposite to HOME MADE!

It is known as authentic hainaness culinary!

Hmm... I never try hainaness food before (except Hainan chicken rice!)

So basically, I don't know what hainaness food looks and tastes like!

Actually, I saw it on Groupon too! But I didn't but the coupons!

Okay, they have set lunch!!

I came in at 2.32pm which already past 2.30pm!

But, when I asked for lunch set (just ask for fun, I don't know is their any lunch set as this is my FIRST time!)

Anyway, the kindhearted staff passed me the set lunch menu!

So this is what I had!

GASTRO CHIVKEN CHOP (in Chinese:hainan style chicken chip)

It served with a bread, I don't know why!

Apparently, u can dip the bread into the sauce!

The sauce is neither black pepper nor mushroom!

It is sweet, I think because of the onions!

The portion is big! But I finished it! So hungry!

The price is reasonable! This set cost rm12.90!

To be frank, not very nice but filling!

The lunch set comes with an ice lemon tea!

To me, it is too sweet!

I have a sweet Tooth but I don't like sweet beverage!

I browse through the menu!

The price is very reasonable!

You can get a chicken rice at rm5.50! In this environment, worth it!

The drinks are pretty cheap too! Almost the same price as hawker center!

Talking about the environment, it is cosy and quite quiet! Maybe because of odd hour too!

But the wifi is not working!!

I am going to spend my afternoon here! Do revision!

 

Initially I wanted to have an ICE CREAM STRAWBERRY CHEESECAKE

but, out of stock

so this is ICE CREAM MOCHA FUDGE!

i am very disappointed! I taste just like normal chocolate ice cream and nuts on it!

no FUDGE at all! =(

it was raining, not cats and dog!
after maths studies exam, it suddenly started to pour!
And because of this plan changed, change to a better plan for me!
initially, MEI HUEY suggested to go Sushi King @ First Subang
but, since raining, it is sort of impossible for us to walk there from college!
So, I suggested NO RESERVATION!

i heard friends mentioned it and said it is NICE & worth trying! But I never try it!
it is actually same row as Mcdonald but upstairs!
the signboard is green and it is very obvious!
we walked in the rain (with umbrella) just to reach there!! =P

the environment is pretty good
it made you feel comfortable, not like typical restaurant but like a place that u can relax
i believed this is mostly due to the lighting and the music!
it played Japanese music, but not the pop song!

use this to order food!

the way you order is also pretty unique!
it is sort of self service!
There are pictures at the entrance and below each picture there will be cards
if u want to eat that food, just take one of the card and bring it to the counter to pay for it!
it reminded me a Japanese Buffet at JB, they used the same concept too!

actually, if you come before 12pm, you can get a MUG that allowed you to have free flow drinks
but, we went around 3pm, so NO FREE DRINKS
but, the boss still give us because this is our FIRST time here!
so good!
there  is a range of drinks for you to choose : white coffee, milo, peach tea, ice lemon tea, green tea & sky juice!
You can just refill yourselves, so don't need to feel embarrassed !!

So this is the boss + chief! (opps, not clear! sorry!)

he is really friendly!

he is a Japaneses, from tokyo!

to me, i think he is GREAT

the whole shop, he is the only one there!

this means that he is the cook, cashier, waiter! OMG!

the food is served a bit slow, because it is a one-man-show! so it is reasonable！
it took around 15-20 minutes for the food to be served!

This is what I had!

udon shio buta (rm10.90)

MEI HUEY chose it for me! because i had no idea what to order!

personally, the pork is too fat for me! (but others like my brother will love it!)

it is quite big portion and i cannot finish it!

MEI HUEY's soba + fried potato (i forgot the name of this dish!)

it is quite nice, i love the cheese actually!

the soup is actually same as the daily soup served!

it cost rm10.90!

Curry Katsu (chicken) Udon for ISABELLE!

it is not spicy at all

quite standard 

did i mention about the FREE soup?

the shop do serve FREE daily soup

not miso but sort of cabbage soup!

I don't think he put any Ajinomoto into, it tastes just nice!

btw, after we did a survey, each of us got a sushi plate FOC!

so this is what he get!

you are actually free to choose whatever you want from the menu!

so there are mayo salmon roll, ebiko sushi and the vege sushi!!

good food, sweet memories!

Basically the food is quite nice, u can feel a bit like home cooked food
not salty but taste healthy!

start off my day here!
Had full breakfast before the FIRST SACE exam (today i had ESL studies @ 11.30pm)

however, this what not my initial plan!
initial plan : finish my salad which i made on sunday!
this morning, went I was walking down to take drinking water, my roommate MEI HUEY opened her door and asked me want to have breakfast together!
i have not seen her for around 2 weeks (she went back home during study leave and just came back last night)
so i say YES!!
but going K3K Benta Kaya was not our initial plan!
We wanted to go to a chicken rice store which is ISABELLE's favorite!
yet, it is closed!

anyway, we ended up having our breakfast here!
i just moved here last month!
periously, it is located near JOE's Kitchen
okay, this is my FIRST time here!

they have breakfast set!
price range from rm4-rm6.80!

Isabelle's Porridge + youtiao + kopi o!

cost her rm4.80

i ordered their sort of American breakfast set (rm6.80)

quite normal! nothing special!

the sunny side up is pretty oily + not nice!

but, the price is quite reasonable!

But there is sugar in it!

i still have mood to take photos before final! haha

We spent the whole morning there
imagine we reached there around 8.30am and we leave at 11am!
doing last minute ESL revision!

talking about the exam, i m quite scared! for the listening part, i cannot get one point!
for the long essay part, i combined two point in one!
A BIT WORRIED!
anyway, it is over!
tomorrow maths studies, ALL THE BEST!
i SURE CAN DO IT!

HOMEMADE FISH HEAD NOODLE @ SS15

It is quite far, luckily he drove!
it is all the way down from GRAFA, really far!
this is my FIRST time here!

it looks quite famous!!

it is famous for their FISH HEAD NOODLE!
so, i ordered a FRESH FISH HEAD MEEHOON!

Actually you can choose either meehoon, yimee or ho fun!

i choose meehoon because it comes with tomatoes and stuff!

It is a really big bowl!

It's really worth the price! (rm9.30)

Many fish meat and it is really fresh!

I got the high collagen intake today!! (due to fish skin + fish fat)

The soup is very delicious too!

i really love this noodle!

Perhaps should bring my mum!! (They have an outlet at Midvalley too!)

Guosoon's porridge with chicken & century egg! (rm6.90)

He likes century eggs (this is what he told me!)

i tried some, a bit salty to me!

And the chicken is actually chicken balls!

Basically, the environment is quite stuffy although it is air-conned !!
Not a good place to do revision or chit chat!
hmm... the staff are not local and not sure from where, i found it pretty hard to communicate with them!

COFFEA COFFEE @ SS15

After lunch, KAREN & I decided to go to COFFEA COFFEE!

Karen need to wait for her mum to fetch her in the evening

I sort of no place no go (actually I can go to college!)

Anyway, we just want to try new things!

I heard that the coffee is awesome!

To be frank, we are not hungry at all, after all we just had our lunch!

It is quite far from my house! I just need to walk around 15-20 minutes!

It is at the Joe’s Kitchen area, near public bank!

So this is the place!

It is very cosy and cool, just like all coffee shop!

It is a bit like FLATWHITE!

So, this is what I ordered!

I like the coffee ART!

It costs me rm11 after tax!

(which is almost the price of my LUNCH)

Don’t really taste that good (again, I am not really fancy of COFFEE)

The staff are pretty friendly but you really need to wait a long time for your coffee!

It took around 15 minutes for the coffee to be served!

Btw, the wifi speed is very fast (faster than college!)

 we just like to take photos!! 

Both of us hung out there till around 6pm (because of heavy rain)

We talked a lot, about studies, friends, housemates, landlady, future….

I really love Karen, sweet & straight! We don’t hide our thought or beat around the bush!

Lunch at TAKUMI YAKINIKU @ss15

Lunch with KAREN, my ex-housemate

Karen stayed in the same room with MEIHUEY & ISABELLE

She moved out in July!

She is currently in INTI SUBANG, taking some business cert!

Graduating in December and going to INTI NILAI next year!

Anyway, we have a lunch date this afternoon!

Initially, Karen wanted to go RAKUZEN but due to the price, we changed our plan

We went to KOBE GYU TAKU YAKINIKU !!

It is same row as CRAYON BURGER & WARONG BONDA! Right opposite the ss15 market!

From outside, it looks very expensive!

The price in the MENU also quite high!

Luckily, they have LUNCH SET PROMOTION which price range from rm7+ to rm 20+

I have a YAKI TORI SET (rm 13.80) 

I wanted to order BEEF but Karen doesnt really fancy beef so I take CHICKEN too!

IT comes with salad, kimchi, rice, soup and 100g chicken!

The chicken is marinated! Very nice!

Karen has their KIMUCHI CHANKONANE ( rm 9.90)

Basically it is kimchi soup + rice!

I tried this, it is not spicy at all!

I have no idea why they served kimchi, it is a korean food!

I even asked the staff this is a JAPANESE / KOREAN restaurant!

She told me is JAPANESE!

It is a good experience but the staff not very friendly

We went and 2pm and the shop close at 3pm

The staff seemed to chase us out, so I was a bit annoyed! 

Crayon burger

i wonder the shop should be named as "CHALK BURGER" instead of crayon burger!

The interior is like black green board and it is decorated with CHALKS

This is my FIRST visit to crayon burger
it is not new, but seriously this is my first time!
Early in the year, my classmates wanted to go for a try but it was too packed!
Then, my other friends said it is not special, only burger got color!
Plus, they mentioned that it is expensive!

BUT, I want to try everything at ss15, so why can I don't go!
SO, CRAYON BURGER, HERE I COME!
