LITTLE LITTLE INDIA

Starts my singapore adventure!

FIRST STOP : Little India

why? because my new friend, Nicole suggested to go there

she wanted to try indian food

together with sharon and another hong kong exchange student

to be frank, this is my first time to little india

it is full of indian obviously 

when we reached there, it is already lunch time

so, guess what? i brought them to try MAMAK

we didn't manage to go in

but busy taking photo! =)

yeah

i ordered a dosai masala

in fact i dont  know what is masala at first 

it is actually potato

this cost me 2.80

which is a bit pricy according to the others

not really special, just normal

nicole has a cheese prata 

sharon has a onion prata

i realised that in singapore they don't called it ROTI CANAI but PRATA

anyway it is the same thing

then we pay a visit to the LITTLE INDIA ARCADE

there are many shops

selling all sorts of things : food, snacks, clothes, bags...

Nicole did a tattoo with henna that costs her $3

a nice tattoo

there is a shop selling many snacks

super cheap

i bought choco drink and biscuit plus a umbrella! 

it is a nice trip!

good experience! 

maybe next time should go chinatown! =)

It's Fledgling

so here comes the CAPT Fledgling Week !!
what's that?
basically it is like another bonding sessions for the CAPTain
mainly for those who didn't attend o camp last month
anyway, to me it is just to have fun and know new friends or neighbour!
so what we do?

it is tiring for me as i woke up early 7am for lecture

yet, enjoy the accompaniment with the rest

a special day for all SINGAPOREAN

not only it is a public holiday but a day that they won't forget
because this will be the last year they have their NDP in the float
next year will be back to stadium!

friends from Hong Kong, Thai , Indo & Thai!

we all stay in residential college!

however, this year's NDP is very special to me
i have not at Malaysia, watching TV live broadcast
but i am at singapore
more specifically i am at Marina Bay
celebrating Singapore NDP with my other international exchange friends!
my first time sit at a place for 2 hours just to watch fireworks!

To be honest, i am seriously an epic fail Malaysian!
i never ever watch malaysian NDP not even on TV live
firstly because malaysia celebrate in the morning
secondly, it is in KL not JB
yet, even i am in Subang last year i also didn't go to take a look!
maybe because in Singapore i am a tourist! i am curious!

the fireworks last around 15 minutes!

it is worth waiting!!

HOme? what's that?

to me, staying at this place called "home" is not happy at all
when i was in Australia, i hope that i can be at HOME
be surrounded by people that love me
i look forward to go HOME

now i am at HOME
but happiness doesn't come to me instead desaster!
i am literally not happy at  all
why? too many reasons

1. not peaceful at all
HOME should be my sheild, a place that i am 100% comfortable with
yet, this place is only filled with quarrels, arguements....
no trace of peace can be found
i try to avoid by not giving any comments or keep my mouth shut
but, it doesn't help, making the situation worst

2. need to plea everybody
i thought HOME suppose to me a place where i can be my true self
i don't need to wear a MASK and hide my feeling
my so called FAMILY will accept who I am
i am WRONG, totally WRONG
i not only need to hide my feelings and wear a super FAKE MASK but need to be very careful of every single word i used
i need to say things that my FAMILY wants to hear and not my opinion although they ask for my "opinion"

3. no space for me
i thought my things will remain as i leave
when i saw my wardrode is messy and full of my sis's clothes
when i notice that my table is filled with empty plastic bags
my bed is untidy and things that belogs to my beother are all over it
i know i am WRONG again

4.warm? i feel cold
yes, the weather is super hot compare to melbourne
however, my heart is COLD, super cold
everything that i do seems to be wrong
the way i talk, the way i stand.... even the way i dry my clothes
i am not accepted by my family
can u imagine the my mum asked me
"WHY YOU JUST CAME BACK THEN U QUARREL WITH UR SIS?"
everybody don't like you
feel ike crying but i don't even dare to cry

5. mum
i know i shouldn't but still i cannot stop myself
the centre peoblem of the whole thing is deal with my mum
whenever i said something that doesn't make her happy she will reply
"u thought u are very smart, you are just a student, using my money to study & enjoy. if you are not happy just go back. i didn't want u to come back also!"

perhaps, only God can tolerate me
in this house, there will always have a space for me
He will accept who I am and provide whatever that i need
though Him i found peace and warm
yet, He is the only who asked me  to come back, why is He treating me like this?

again UNIVERSAL , but Lunch!

usually we need to queue
maybe it is winter break so not many people! Hurray
it is one of the cheaper restaurants near uni so normally it is packed
this is my second visit here!
however, this is much better!

so, lunch date with collage mates, actually they are not my classmates but jaymus's
LiHui, Joshua & Weithong (comes from perth) had lunch with me today

there is lunch set
only cost $10 for small pizza with a drink
or $13 for entree pasta with a drink

Finally here!

I wanted to come here for long but didn’t have time and nobody to come with

Elaine and I went for a food hunt at Fitzroy!

It is listed in the UrbanSpoon list for long

The pictures look so good

Wanted to try for long

According to the review, the breakfast ramen and soft shell carb burger are their best

So we ordered both to try

First, let’s talk about the environment

The shop is located at a place that I won’t notice

Inside it is a bit packed, we waited for 10 minutes for sits

Again, share table!

This time we talked to the girls sitting beside us, they are Malaysian and love food as well

Talked about the life in Australia, they lived here for 6-7 years already

We exchanged phone numbers and hopefully can hang out next time

Nice people, great place to know new people

So this is the SOFT SHELL CARB BURGER!

It is really special

But as u know soft shell carb not no meat but crispy!

Great choice!

Breakfast Ramen!

More like Japanese ramen

Comes with a pot of soup, served in a special way

Hmm… a bit normal, just like normal ramen

Yet, the bacon is thick and yummy!

i now know it is lunch time
but we really want to have cakes and tarts
Cloud found this place and she really wanted to try
although need to queue, we still wanted to try

the shop is really small

it is painted with green

actually great make the area small

but because there is a large mirror

the whole shop looks bigger!

it is a shop that usually people won't notice it!
from outside, the shop is small and dark
looks a bit doggy! (sorry to say!)
BUT, inside it is a fantacy!!

anyway, the environment is really awesome
a good place to study, hang out, chit chat
more like a cafe than restaurant
although they do serve mains like pasta, rice, soup....
