Brunch under $10? Green refectory

#throwback : 11.07.2014

The shop is not green at all!
Remember that day on hammer and tong, I met 2 Malaysian girls, they recommended me this place
It is quite far
So, since daddy is driving, so why want to eat in the city?
The environment is very cosy
We are lucky that we can find a table for 6
This is the first brunch I have with my family in Melbourne
Hurray!

Breakfast stack
their famous

Best pizza?? 400 Gradi!

BEST PIZZA IN THE WORLD!
I forget who told me, but it is in the must try list!
It is quite far although it is at lygon street
FYI, in Australia one street can takes up to 10+km
So it is actually 4km from cbd
It takes a long journey without a car
Hence, I go with my family
Ps: the price is not very cheap so need ATM, hehe

Initially I wanted to eat last Friday for dinner
I called in the afternoon yet was told it was fully booked and the only time available for this week is only Sunday 815pm (they even specific the time)
Anyway, first time here!

So this is it!
Margarita pizza!
This is the FAMOUS here
Every table has one!
This is the pizza that it rated BEST PIZZA IN THE WORLD
I know it doesn't look mouthwatering
A bit disappointed on the presentation
It is different from the traditional pizza
The crust is special
Very crispy corner with a bit soggy base!
Taste like roti parta!

Bacon with olive pizza!
This one got meat
Only the crust is special
Not really worth the money
Each pizza cost $20+

Seafood pasta!
Daddy feel like ordering something order than pizza
I need to say the seafood is quite fresh
Yet, the pasta is not really nice
To me, a bit to hard and I cannot choose the pasta that I want

So this will be my last dinner in Melbourne, sounds so sad
I am not prepared to leave!
But, no regret I tried!
Because now I am proud to say I ate the BEST PIZZA IN THE WORLD!

Chocolate heaven!

So, we went to Yarra valley
How can we not going to the Yarra Valley Chocolaterie & Ice Creamery
Free chocolate tasting! FOC! Take as much as u can!
Full of chocolate store!
Hurray

There is a cafe beside the store
All PINK!
This is our lunch + high tea
Chocolate! Chocolate! And chocolate!
Am I in heaven?

 Chocolate fondue for two!
Got a lot of things to dip!
Marshmallow, strawberries no banana are still the best
Chocolate dip with honey comb is too sweet
Dip with nought is too hard
We choose milk chocolate but I think dark chocolate will be better!

Apple crumble with vanilla
Not really special
Oh ya, every dessert ordered comes with a small cup of chocolate!
Unfortunately we are not allowed to choose which type of chocolate we want!

Waffle!
A normal one!
But i think the waffle is not too sweet, just nice!

Chicken pie!
Since my grandparents prefer savory stuff
Not nice at all!
Too creamy inside!

White chocolate!
Sweet treat for myself!
Way too sweet!
Perhaps next time come here (if I have the chance) will go for dark chocolate instead

Valley chocolate tea
No chocolate smell at all
Hopetoun is way better!

Anyway, nice place to try out!
The view is magnificent !

QV market Doughnut ~ American Doughnut Kitchen

finally i tried it!
purposely go to QV market for it!
today's queue is not that long
i guess less than 5 minutes! (i went at 12 pm)

so, this is how it looks like
JAM doughnut !
$1.10

it is really puffy!
a bit too sweet for me
however, the sad part is the the jam is too little, only in a corner

and this is the van/truck used for years!
took a photo with it!

although it is a sunny day, the strong wind makes us feel so cold!
no wonder when we watch NYC movies, people wear thick clothes during sunny day
because of the wind!
i am getting used to melbourne's weather yet leaving soon
so sad!

Cheapest {Brown} bagel

Found this place from urbanspoon
Checked the price and surprisingly it is cheap!
A bagel costs around $9
That's probably the cheapest bagel I can find in Melbourne!

I think the staff are from Korea, very friendly
I asked what bagel that he recommended and he said ONION!
This is the first time I see onion bagel!
Usually it is poppy seed, wholemeal, plain.... But no onion
They have cheese as well

So this is my roast beef with onion bagel!
Very filling
A bit like burger
$9.5

Actually I came here with LiPoh, a collage friend who came all the way from Sydney
He had Angus beef
Which I think it is really delicious, although I didn't try, it looks good
He said it is special!

The place is quite small and I took a while to find this place!
But it is surrounded my cafes and restaurant
A bit like hardware lane

The address = 330 Collins St Shop 10 Equitable Pl

Something COLD!

#throwback

It is time for ice cream
I know it is winter but ice cream is still awesome!

GELATO MESSINA!
Another famous place at Fitzroy!
Obviously also from UrbanSpoon

Too many choices! Don’t know which one to choose
The queue is long, but I still don’t know which one to choose

At the end, I choose the MIGHTY GM GUM
I think it contain alcohol and it likes chocolate!
Elaine choose LYCHEE
The lychee is a sorbet
Cooling and nice. It should be sold in Malaysia because it will be super popular
We took a 2 scopes in a cup which cost us $6

N2 Extreme gelato!
We still want gelato !!
N2 = nitrogen
I ate the similar concept ice cream/gelato in Malaysia – NBrew

The menu is so special
Drawn on wall!
But that also means not many choices

Anyway, we ordered a “O” cheesecake!
It is cheesecake gelato, middle got Oreo crush
Topped with white chocolate with a syringe of chocolate
Mouth-watering!
So nice!

The shop’s design is very special
No tables and chairs, instead, got LAWN!!
We are laying on a bed made of grass
