DUMPLINGS!! XIAO LONG BAU!! Shanghai dumpling street!!
i love dumpling and xiao long bau
so to me today is my best day ever! i have both!!
it really worth queueing for 20 minutes!
DUMPLINGS and XIAO LONG BAU!!!
it's lunch time, 1pm so the queue is pretty long!
3 of us look at hr menu for less than 3 minutes and already made our mind what to order!
throughout the 20 minutes we talked about the inspection on train
okay, i really need to PRAISE THE LORD for this!
stroy begins....
we hopped into the tram at Lincoln square!
three of us was talking about my presentation yesterday
the tram is pretty packed!
there is a man standing behind me, he looks like a gangster like that, i m a bit scared!
then, out of sudden, he turn to the other man and said something then walk towards the lady sitting beside me, asking for her myki card!
SHIT, it is INSPECTION!!
and I didn't tap, immediately i walk to the tap machine(actually just beside me, where the man was standing) and tap my card
the man even tap my shoulder and told me that I am very lucky!
that means I WON"T GET FINES!
fyi, once the tram starts moving, you haven't /don't tap and only tap when the inspection starts, you need to be fine
because you are FREELOADING!!!
actually, the man can just come to check mine but he didn't!
i thank GOD for this! save me $200!
imagine how many nice food i can get with it! =)
back to the DUMPLINGS!!!
hmm... to me, i don't see the difference between korean and chinese pancake
so me it's the same!
everything here is all below $10!
even the noodle and rice is also below $10
with this huge serving, you will be damn full!
I M TOO FULL already !
it is easy to fine, just see the queue : 342 Little Bourke St, Melbourne VIC 3000

back to the DUMPLINGS!!!
this is the pan-fried dumpling
inside it is filled with pork!
so nice!
a plate like this contains 15 dumplings!
we have pan-fried, sure we have steamed!
steam is a healthier choice but both are sooooo awesome!
yet, to me i prefer pan-fried, the "skin" for steam is a bit thick for me!
my favourite--- Xiao Long Bao!
it is really BIG!
JUICY!
comes in 8!
chinese pancake!
lihui's special order!
usually it is with veggie but sean likes bacon
so we have bacon!

Me @ OKO OKO
Pancake
with terikayi Chicken!
This is
really awesome!
It is just
located opposite the Lincoln square tram stop! Near ecompass!
To be
honest, this is the first time I come here but I have tried their oko burger
during Acts HOMES last month. That burger basically it replace normal burger
bun to pancake (japaness style pancake) which is full with veggie and
absolutely healthy!
For person
who wants to lead a healthy lifestyle (although I always fail) it is really a
good choice!
Anyway, the
price cost around $8.90 and it really worth the price!
The serving
might looks a bit small (especially for boys) but it is really filling!
Why I will
come here?
Haha,
actually my friend treat me this!
I have an
appointment with my friend, actually my church leader who is very helpful to
introduce me apartment to buy as my family is interested to invest one here!
Throughout the
whole conversation, I know more on how property works in Australia
As an
international student who holds a temporary visa more than 12 months, I am
allowed to buy a second-hand property by applying and also a brand new
apartment!
My friends,
Joshua introduced 2 apartments to me, one near Victoria market and another at
west Melbourne
The one
near Vic market (590k) can only be done in 2016 and west Melbourne (520K) can
move in now
To be
frank, both don’t appear to suit me
Because I wanted
to move in ASAP and I want it to be near the city and Melb University.
But now I feel
so bad!
I am
looking for a 2 bedroom apartment for maximum 500k , I wish it is brand new and
it is near uni and city plus can move in sem 2!

HOMEMADE HEALTHY APPLE SAUCE/JAM
i got too many apples
it is soft already!
not crunchy anymore
so, i searched the Internet to see what can i do with these apples
so, i decided to make HOMEMADE APPLE SAUCE/JAM!!
SO, THIS IS HOW IT WORkS!
i used 4 apples
peel and core them!
then, slice them into very tiny pieces because i dont have a blander hence i need to smash them using a fork
smaller price, easier to mash!
ended up looking like this:
put them tiny pieces into a pot!
pour a lit water (i don't measure just pour hot water into it!)
then, add some sugar
any type of sugar
i prefer brown sugar
yet, i only use 2 packets
because apples are sweet already, no point adding additional sugar for it (this is what i think!)
according to the recipe, 1 cup of sugar is needed
i think it is based on individuals!
So, sugar is added!
now, boil it for about 20 minutes!
stirring is needed to avoid brunt!
meanwhile, use a fork to smash it!
you can also smash it after the 20 minutes boiling
but smash it during boiling will be easier!
so this is my FIRST HOMEMADE HEALTHY APPLE SAUCE/JAM!
delicious & tasty!
first time, nice try! =)

What you need:
Potatoes (cubed)
Lettuce/ other veggie (optional)
Soft tofu
1 Egg
Potatoes (cubed)
Lettuce/ other veggie (optional)
Soft tofu
1 Egg
Firstly, I boiled the potatoes so that it will be softened (I love it to be soft)
Then cut them into cubes! Actually mine not cube, I just cut them into small pieces!
I transfer them into a large bowl together with the chopped lettuce
Mix them together with a spoon
Then add in crushed soft tofu!
Mix it again and add some soy sauce (I add oyster sauce instead)
Lastly add egg into it and mix it again!
Put them on the aluminium foil that coated with oil and bake it for 10 minutes in 200 degree Celsius
And there it is!

Healthy hash brown!
It is a bit too watery, maybe because I don't drain the soft tofu!
My sis said it tasted amazing!
I added tofu because It contains high protein and potato has high carbohydrates
Lettuce is high fiber & vitamin food
So together, it is healthy!
It has a very low calorie (sorry I don't know how to calculate )
Yet it is obviously lower calories than the frozen hash brown

CHEESY CHRISTMAS SALAD
Christmas is coming soon!
Actually still got 22 days to Christmas!
Whenever I think of Christmas I think of 2 colors : RED & GREEN!
Yeah, typical Christmas tree color!
So, I think of using these two colors to make a salad for lunch!
Recently, I like to use the oven !
Firstly, it is easy : put everything in and press some buttons!
Secondly, I hate washing so using aluminium foil and dispose it after roasting is the best choice for me!
Thirdly, i can practice how to cook so that next year i can cook for myself in overseas!
Hence, I decided to roast some veggies!
I don't really like to eat raw
Raw food doesn't taste sweet
For seasoning, I only use 2 ingredients! OLIVE OIL & LEMON!!
i pour the oil and lemon juice on the aluminium foil
then, tost with cucumber and broccoli!
On the other layer, I grill tomato and cherry tomato!
After 10 minutes roasting, salad is coming!!
i mixed tomato, cherry tomato, cucumber & lettuce (sliced) together with cheese sauce!
then, add into a bowl !
in less than 5 minutes, my salad is ready!
yummy, yummy!
the plus point is this salad only is about 100 kcal! =)

EGGS IN TOMATOES!
wake up quite early this morning (around 9am!)
the house is quite as usual, i am the first to wake up in the family (except my dad who went to work!)
open the fridge and a container of tomatoes is right in front of me!
so, i took it out and start to think what to do with it!
grilled tomato pouch egg! =)
so this is what u need ( 2 ingredient only!) : Tomatoes + eggs
what u need to do:
1. preheat the oven for about 10 minutes with 200 degree
2. place the aluminium foil on the tray
3. halve the tomatoes
4. Pour the eggs in the tomatoes (for me, one egg with one tomato)
5. place them on the foil
6. carefully, insert it into the oven
7. Grill it for about 10-15 minutes with 200 degree
8. take it out carefully with glove and let it cool!
9. eat it!
actually, i also do some grilled lettuce!
this is just an experiment
I want to try how it tastes
hmm... it tastes a bit like seaweed
It is burnt, because I grilled them for 15 minutes, over-grilled!
i rolled it and use as decoration for my tomatoes!
FOOD PRESENTATION!
to me, i think how you present your food is very important, it will affect the mood of the person who eat it!
so, i like to decorate my food, i want the person who is eating to be happy!
I think it is successful
i am sort of sense of achievement because this is my FIRST TIME doing this!
Tomatoes are healthy and low in calories!
A tomato has an average of 17 calories (so low!) and it is filling
i remember when i was young, my mum used to tell me tomatoes are good for the skin!
So, try this, easy and simple!

NO RESERVATION @ SS15
it was raining, not cats and dog!
after maths studies exam, it suddenly started to pour!
And because of this plan changed, change to a better plan for me!
initially, MEI HUEY suggested to go Sushi King @ First Subang
but, since raining, it is sort of impossible for us to walk there from college!
So, I suggested NO RESERVATION!
i heard friends mentioned it and said it is NICE & worth trying! But I never try it!
it is actually same row as Mcdonald but upstairs!
the signboard is green and it is very obvious!
we walked in the rain (with umbrella) just to reach there!! =P
the environment is pretty good
it made you feel comfortable, not like typical restaurant but like a place that u can relax
i believed this is mostly due to the lighting and the music!
it played Japanese music, but not the pop song!
the way you order is also pretty unique!
it is sort of self service!
There are pictures at the entrance and below each picture there will be cards
if u want to eat that food, just take one of the card and bring it to the counter to pay for it!
it reminded me a Japanese Buffet at JB, they used the same concept too!
actually, if you come before 12pm, you can get a MUG that allowed you to have free flow drinks
but, we went around 3pm, so NO FREE DRINKS
but, the boss still give us because this is our FIRST time here!
so good!
there is a range of drinks for you to choose : white coffee, milo, peach tea, ice lemon tea, green tea & sky juice!
You can just refill yourselves, so don't need to feel embarrassed !!
the food is served a bit slow, because it is a one-man-show! so it is reasonable!
it took around 15-20 minutes for the food to be served!
Basically the food is quite nice, u can feel a bit like home cooked food
not salty but taste healthy!
Typical Japanese food!

So this is the boss + chief! (opps, not clear! sorry!)
he is really friendly!
he is a Japaneses, from tokyo!
to me, i think he is GREAT
the whole shop, he is the only one there!
this means that he is the cook, cashier, waiter! OMG!
the food is served a bit slow, because it is a one-man-show! so it is reasonable!
it took around 15-20 minutes for the food to be served!
This is what I had!
udon shio buta (rm10.90)
MEI HUEY chose it for me! because i had no idea what to order!
personally, the pork is too fat for me! (but others like my brother will love it!)
it is quite big portion and i cannot finish it!
MEI HUEY's soba + fried potato (i forgot the name of this dish!)
it is quite nice, i love the cheese actually!
the soup is actually same as the daily soup served!
it cost rm10.90!
Curry Katsu (chicken) Udon for ISABELLE!
it is not spicy at all
quite standard
did i mention about the FREE soup?
the shop do serve FREE daily soup
not miso but sort of cabbage soup!
I don't think he put any Ajinomoto into, it tastes just nice!
btw, after we did a survey, each of us got a sushi plate FOC!
so this is what he get!
you are actually free to choose whatever you want from the menu!
so there are mayo salmon roll, ebiko sushi and the vege sushi!!
good food, sweet memories!
Basically the food is quite nice, u can feel a bit like home cooked food
not salty but taste healthy!
Typical Japanese food!
